5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
On most cars the lower back seat can be removed by pulling upwards on the front edge of the seat. This should release some clips and allow it to be pulled forward and removed.
^ another useless post, repeat, repeat of the same comment
If its such a useless thread, why do you contribute your useless comments?
as you can see even though its been asked before, the op still got useful info.
Not everyone is a camry nerd like you njerald. People have things called ... a life. They dont sit on their ass all day and study the stupid manual and then make dumbass comments to others.

here's a tip. There are 2 clips, one behind the passenger seat and drivers seat.
What you want to do is it sit on the cushion. Then get up a bit with your feet planted on the ground. Then in a sort of a squat form reach down with both hands and slide them between the car and the cushion (where the cushion meets the car). Try to find the clip and put one hand on each side. Now lift up towards the ceiling. You might need some effort. You can use your legs to help I guess. Do it on both sides and once you get the clips off you just slide the cushion towards the front of the car and take the seatbelt things out of the cushion holes.
^ Two reasons I can think of would be to run a power wire and accessing the fuel pump.
You can slide your hand under the cushion until you find the clips since they are close to the front. Grab the cushion near the seat and then pull up hard on the cushion. Just be careful that you don't hit yourself in the face unless you get it on video and post it here.

With all my might, I finally got those clips to pop out albeit after struggling for a while. Reason why I wanted to take the cushion off was because from the trunk I could tell that the previous owner made a mess back there so I wanted to clean it up. I found a green ninja toy and a couple of nickles under there.

lol o ok you wanted to clean... GASP!!!!! A GREEN NINJA TOY AND 15 CENTS!!!!!! well worth the hard work
Well, in San Francisco he found a couple nickels. In this part of the world a good look under a used car rear seat might land a well used .380. Or at least a loaded magazine.
