160 mph

I wish I was going this fast while idling!!
take a look at this video:

Recently had some issues with my 02 camry, read here: car dies at idle
and the needle jumped to 150+ mph, no movement of the needle while I drive.
Any clues?

checked all the fuses, inside and under the hood. They all seem to be good! Any specific fuse or electronics I should be looking at? It is completely dead, won't move at all.

I have no idea, just thought I would throw in the idea to check the fuses.

A couple other forum users have had to buy new gauges because their original ones died. But keep in mind that you have to get the odometer programmed with your previous mileage so that your vehicle history (CarFax or whatever) doesn't show mileage tampering. You could go to a junkyard or on eBay and get used gauges also.

That happens to me too, even when I'm only going 120 it still shows 160. LOL

Sorry, just joking.

Fixed!

okay.. I had a theory, I thought if I can hit that(150+) mph I may be able to bring the needle back to life. So today I drove the car in some rural area and floored it. GUESS WHAT! it did come alive.

just kidding.

However it did come alive while I was driving this morning. no clue how or why but it did, which is the most important thing. so I'm happy.

And because of your promotion of unsafe driving...this thread is now closed.
