well i got a couple questions guys...i recently changed all of my interior lights to leds and in the process i blew the 7.5 amp fuse that lights up the climate control cluster and radio. I could not find where to get the mini fuses that the new camrys use so i got the smallest one i could find (mini fuse) and everything seems to be working for now until i realized when i start the car the rear defogger light will blink about 7 times and then turn off. The rear defogger will still light up and im guessing it still works. Another problem i found was that the control around the defogger light that controls where u want the airflow to be such as the floor vents or the top vents does not move. It seems to be stuck in the top vent position and doesnt change even if i move the control to the floor...please help any ideas would be appreciated

First check to see if any other fuses are blown. Next go to the parts counter at the Toyota dealership and find the proper fuses (if you can't find a local shop with the correct size/type).
As for the mini fuses you'll find that parts stores look slightly different than the stock ones, although I was at the Toyota dealer and they were selling the same ones. Like you said the stock are "mini." As long as you are getting the smaller blade fuses, they'll fit and function properly. If you're really troubleshooting, and you have money (fuses can get expensive when you replace many) you can get the ones that light up when they're blown. If you're trying to find which fuse it is, the Toyota diagram under the fuse box cover is probably better than the one in the owner's manual (more prone to errors) although one system with a blown fuse could affect other systems with good fuses. If you've changed the fuse for the center console and it still doesn't work...there's a possibily that a blown fuse somewhere else is affecting something that, in turn, affects it. Just some thoughts. Either that ore run into the dealer and don't tell them the LEDs messed it up (you'll have to put everything back to stock though).
well the mini fuses from a local shop didnt work so my friend cut the tabs so they are shorter in hope that it would fit...it goes in but it is not flush with the rest of the fuses...everything else works in the car such as the A/C light, the fan speed, and the rear defogger. But the dial for the air flow does not change in any other direction than the upper vents...i cant understand why. And as for the rear defogger light, when i start the car i counted that it blinks 12 times and then stops so im guessing that has something to do with it.. I also just tried putting the temperature gauge to the hottest position and it does not seem to get hot...any ideas?

well im gonna bring my car to the dealership this week under warranty...question i have is has anyone ever had to replace a fuse in their car and where did they get those special little fuses? did u have to go to the dealership to buy them or were u able to find them at a local auto parts store?

I recently had a HID relay harness blow my low beam headlight fuses twice (I ended up giving up and just using the HIDs as plug and play and they seem to work fine). I picked up some fuses at Autozone, although you can probably get the same ones at Walmart or Target for cheaper. As long as they are the right amperage, and the small blade type...they'll work. They may not be the tiny micro ones that are stock in the car but they'll fit. The plastic area will just sit a little higher than the stock ones. I can't remember what amperage they are, but there are also three spare fuses on the bottom of the fuse box cover, along with the little plastic tool to pull existing fuses.
yea i just replaced the 7.5 amp i blew with the mini 10 toyota provided but its the same issue...everything works except the temperature doesnt seem to get hot when i put the heat on and it doesnt change air flow direction when i twist the knob. when i put the front defogger window on it when the fan is on high the airflow sounds like it wants to change direction but it comes on through the front vents
