Turbo Kit 2007-2009 2.4L Camry GReddy

After looking and having no luck for adding more but reliable performance to the 2.4L 2007 camry engine, contacting TRD with questions on the TC supercharger modification for the Camry to hear they are discontinuing, I contacted GReddy who currently makes a really nice turbo kit for the TC.

The modifications that I saw here inspired me.
http://tsxclub.com/forums/automotive...mry-turbo.html

Well... they responded. They said that with enough interest they would consider a 207-2009 2.4L camry turbo kit seriously. If you are interested in having a kit available for your 2007-2009 2.4L camry, please send an email to info@greddy.com.

Based on the kits available for the TC located http://www.turbo-kits.com/tC_turbo_kits.html, greddy offered same performance (100+ HP) with lowest boost pressure which is better for the engine as I understand it and hence I contacted them.

Anyway I do not know what level of interest would be necessary for them to start offering a kit but if you are interested, please send them an email. (info@greddy.com).

I would like a kit for mine so if you know anyone who would be interested please have the send their response to info@greddy.com as well.

This was the response received:

"Thank you for your interest in GReddy products.Currently we have not received any other request for a Camry turbo kit. However we are not opposed to possible offer one if there is enough of a demand for one. I will forward your email request to our planning dept, along with any future request. Perhaps if we get enough interest, we can look into to this further. We appreciate your suggestion and email."

Thanks

Glad to see you here menotu. I registered for the TSX forum after I saw that epic thread about that guy who stole the lipkit lol.

It's probably not that likely for greddy to come out with a kit anytime soon, and even getting it carb certified.... Just go custom! I can guide you step by step. Your K&N will probably have to be hacked up to fit the turbo piping. AEM FIC. etc etc etc. Let me know if you're serious about a turbokit, and I'll make it happen for you

and only +100 hp is garbage. Why spend so much money on a turbo kit, and only have it increase up to 250hp? Right now, I'm making 280 to the wheels on stock internals and close to 300 torque to the wheels. Compression tested all across the board and it turned out excellent after 10K miles. Go custom. Go for more HP. Go big or go home

I have a good mechanic here, although i would prefer that Gene does it because he has done it at least on 2 Camrys. But what keeps me from doing it is the money needed to be spent. If i had a set figure that isn't out of control i would do it if not by next summer then the one after that.

That's what they always say... give us enough demand and we'll make it.... the thing is there isn't enough demand for them to be profitable...

Go custom
