5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I just posted in the intro forum, but since this will be the forum I check figured I would check in here as well. As for my car it's an 04 Catalina Blue LE 4cyl, all stock for now. My wife and I picked it up from my in-laws for 5k with 82k which is mostly hiway from Lufkin Tx to Kansas, Iowa, Northeast texas and Tyler (2hrs east of dallas where I live).
Future plans for the car include window tint (next week or so), tail light tint, 17s/18s (gonna test fit some 18x8 torque 5 w/ 35et, hopefully they will fit, that I will barrow from my sis' boyfriend), some sort of filter/intake, and a nice exhaust (saw an 04 Camry w/ HKS exhaust on youtube and I loved it). And a stereo cuz I am not liking the factory stereo.
Other project cars I have are 95 Tbird lx 4.6 (high school car that I loved) and a 35 Chevy 3 window real steel Coupe (my one and only family heirloom).
Sorry for the long post.

Dealership was going to give my inlaws 7k for it so we gave them my wifes 99 ex civic and 5k. Needless to say it's alot roomier and a million times better than our old civic.
That's a great deal, plus you get the crappy honda out of your driveway

I am new here myself but welcome aboard, a lot of good information and banter going on. A well moderated place. Enjoy
Thanks guys. I've actually been browsing the board for a year or so while we were determaining if we were going to buy the car and when it finally came time for my inlaws to buy a new one, they cut a good deal (obviously).
Tomarrow morning I'm having the wheels put on my wifes car. Unfortunantly the tires are less than sastifactory, but they are only temporary until I decide if I want to keep the wheels or not. I got the wheels from my sisters boyfriend's 240 "drift" car, so the tire sizes are 235/40/18 and 215/55/18. If I keep the wheels I'm gonna go with 225/45/18s. Will try and post pics tommarow.
