So im getting 20s and im torn between what tire size to get. The rims for now will be 20x8.5. One site recommends. 225.35.20 another recommends. 245.35.20 I dont want that huge meaty tire effect. Do you think the 245 would be too much meat. There will be a drop but that will come after. This is for a 2010 SE
why not just get inbetween and go 235. you can do 245 on a 8.5in rim and it won't be too bad. it depends on what look you want. if you want flushness and the lip to stick out then go 225. if you want more sidewall then do 235 or 245. if you want i'll take a pic of 245/40/19 on a 8.0 rim so you can get a pretty good idea and if not search around to see what 245 looks like on a 8.5in rim.
I do want more of a stretched look to it but my girl drives it too. soo uhh yeah i need some meat. Maybe ill do 235/35 a picture would help thanks! eventually down the line im gonna dump it on bags or dros..not sure yet. So i want it to tuck nicely. I was even considering staggered rims. but ehh who cares.
Yeah i saw a pic of that guy redlines car his 225.35 dont look too bad. Then i saw a pic of this guy from canada with 235.35 on a 7.5 those look like they would be great on a 8.5 i guess itll come down to whats cheaper..Still doing some rim shopping. im putting a 2500 cap on my budget so its not easy.
