5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
So I went to visit my grandparents just the other day and I managed to capture a few of these pictures with my iPhone. I decided to pull my grandfather's 2004 Lexus LS 430 out of the garage and park it next to my 2006 Toyota Camry LE. (I know, I know...why would I do that being that the LS is a VERY expensive car and my Camry is pretty basic. However, it is moments and some pictures like these that makes me proud to own a Toyota and I thought I would share.) I know there are a lot...but I guess I could not help myself.
Maybe the mods can move it and PM the OP so he knows it's there instead?
Nice pics BTW. I just detailed my aunt's 2000 LS400 "Platinum Series" (it's all-black) and that thing is a beast. It's got 41K miles on the ODO and I can't wait until she gets tired of it so I can buy it from her . I also own a gen 5.5 Camry, and while I love the LS, driving my Camry afterwards still felt nice.

love both cars. don't listen to the others. the plastic is there to make the engine look less messy and to make the engine quieter. love the new LS better though.

Hey thanks! I drove the LS around a bit and it is a smooth and comfortable ride (maybe because of the sport-tuned suspension)...but, yes, driving my Camry after the LS still felt comfortable and quiet.

Thanks! Personally, I like the look of the plastic covering on the engine...but I know the others are just messing around.

Hell no! From driving the Camry then taking the LS for a spin was quite the difference.
Oh, and sorry to everyone (moderators included) for posting in the wrong forum before, I guess I missed the "Show and Share" section.

its funny because i parked my camry next to my ES300 (both 2003 models) before i traded the camry in, and i was amazed at how similar they are and how they both mock they styling of the 2001 LS. It shows how toyota styling is specific to its period in time.
