Gen6 Gen 6 Windshield Question

Just got back from the having the windshield replaced. Something looks different to me and I cannot put my finger no it. I cannot tell if there is a missing seal around the side or top or something else. It might just be me but I figured I would ask. For those of you with the 2007+ Camry, does your windshield look the same as the picture I attached? This is a PGW/PPG replacement windshield. Appreciate the help.

I just went and looked at my car for yiou and no there is no gasket around the windshield. it looks to me to be a little crooked from the picture that you have taken though. If I remember correctly there might be something funky with the windshields of our cars and you need to take it to the dealer to get a proper replacement windshield because aftermarket ones don't fit quite right? i could be wrong though i just thought i had heard it once

The red highlights are where I seem to think the alignment of your windshield are off by looking at the picture so you know what im looking at

it does kind of look off and it seems like they left some scratches from installation. good example is right below mike's first red circle.

Take some better pics from different angles and distance. Then we'll compare.

yes sorry to say that does not look like a good instalation at all, im not sure if you went threw insurance to get the window payed for or out of pocket, but i would always suggest going oem, but my local dealer quoted me 1200 for the winshield and install, when i had a crack in it, but i went threw insurance and had one of their shops do the repair, all i did was ask them to use the oem winshield and it only cost me 250 which is the deductible, you have the right to request oem parts at no extra charge

Here are a few more. There was a scratch at the top corner on the paint. I filled it in with touch up paint since the first picture was taken. The side of the glass doesn't have the black frit that goes all the way to the edge so I think that might be one thing that looks funny with it.

this is def wrong buddy... the windshield looks way off... there is too much space between the glass and the pillar there

Check for leaks asap, and try to get that replaced. i wouldn't feel safe with that glass as my protection seeing as how it doesn't look aligned properly and the gasket doesn't look to be in place as well

Hope it all works out for you

Spend a bit more, and get OEM glass. Your life depends on it.
