2007 Camry - Hood open sensor?

Just got my 2007 this week, was working on putting on a mesh grill. Gave up last night and put the old grill on last night, but today the damn hood sensor warning kept coming on - detecting that the hood is open, when its actually quite secure. Must've bumped the sensor when I was mucking around...

Anyone know if I need to reset it (and how to do that), or where the sensor actually is? Poked around just now, and I'm not seeing anything obviously unplugged. There seems to be one sensor on the right side of the latch that comes up from below - made sure that was secured and the other end of it was plugged in snug. No dice...still get the hood open warning.

Ideas?

no clue where the sensor is but try disconnecting the battery for a few mins and the car will reset

The switch is on the hood latch mechanism.

Easy to diagnose a switch problem.

one thing i can't figure out is how can something like changing out the grille mess up the sensor. also did you try to lower the bumper to change out the grille and also search around for a DIY. it's not very hard to change out the grille.

Physically changing the grill is no problem - its the speed nuts that came with the grill. Hate those cheap things, cut my hands a few times trying to put those on and just decided to put it off till this weekend when I'll have more time. Also noticed the grill needed to be bent to shape at the corners to get a flush finished look.

I'll look at the sensor again. As I said, there is one on the far right of the latch and it seemed fine, just pokes into the latch from below. It's a few inches right of the physical latch though, which made me wonder if there was some sensor more directly on the latch itself that I was missing.
