Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I was just wondering whats the easiest way i could change the low beam bulbs on my (australian) 2007 camry and how? Ive searched numerous amounts of places (including this site) and i found no direct answer to my question. What ive gathered is i may have to remove the whole headlight unit or maybe remove the bumper before i can change 2 small bulbs but this seems to much just to change 2 little bulbs.
So i was wondering what you guys had in mind? The only bulbs i can have access to directly once i open the hood is the high beams and normal driving light bulbs (as you all would know)
Thanks in advance, i realise this question may sound stupid, but i just want to know exactly what i should be doing before i touch anything.

If you are referring to the light closest to the outer edge, remove the fasteners in the fender well. Pull the wheel well panel back, reach in and remove the socket. On my Camry, it is called the parking / turn signal lamp.

I did a quick search, couldn't find what I was looking for. But there is a good photo accessing that area. I might be thinking about a fog light install or access, same area, just lower down. I will search some more, let you know.
If someone else knows please assist, thanks.

Reason: more info
too bad you didn't post this earlier yesturday. i just changed mine out to my led bulbs. it's too much of a hassle to do it now but i'll see if i can take some pics of the general area later today so you get a idea of what you are doing.
A pictureless DIY
Assume you want to change the driver-side bulb.
1) Turn your wheel all the way to the right
2) There should be a clip holding the fenderwell to the bumper. Take that off.
3) Pull back on the fenderwell to gain access to the light.
I don't know how it is down under... but in the US, it's turn left to loosen. Turn right to tighten
one thing is i like to take both clips off to have more room under the cover. i take off the one thats lowest to the ground and needs a flat head and the one on top that is like the clips that hole the trunk liner.
Theres two plastic clips. One at the top and one in the front of the wheel well. Use a flat head screwdriver and take those out and pull back on the panel. Reach your hand in and twist the socket and pull the bulbs out.

I only got by with the front one... maybe I never put the top one back on... I need to check when I get my car back..
thanks for that info guys, ill have a crack at that over the weekend if i can find some time. By the way, what tools will i need and is there anything i should be careful of or watch out for etc etc
umm i just used a small flat head screw driver with a wide head for the bottom clip to rotate it. the top i used another small flat head with a small head. i stuck my hand in and when at the clip from behind and the sides to lift the center down. for the bottom clip be careful because its easy for the flatehead to slip and scratch the paint.
i tried all that and failed over the weekend. i got in there but i found it really difficult to unscrew or unclip the cover for the parker lights and then change the bulb as i couldnt really see what i was doing. so this weekend im just planning to remove the whole front bumper to make life easier as im changing the grille as well.
