Gen6 DIY: 2010 Camry LE Radio Removal

Hello, I am trying to find out a couple things about my stock radio setup.
1. I can't tell if it is pre wired for satellite (the radio says SAT ready, but does it have the wiring?)
2. If it is pre-wired, does anyone know what adapter I can use to plug that into my sirius dockable radio?

I put up a photo album of how to uninstall the radio on google.

The pictures are in reverse order.. but that should be obvious.

And yes I have read though every forum and haven't really found any concrete answers.
Thanks,
matt

That's a good DIY for removing the radio. As to the wiring for the SAT, I don't know how that connects. Maybe ask in the audiophile section and someone will know for certain, I'm sure plenty of people have done it, it should connect the same for all the Gen 6 Models, unless there's a difference for the JBL setup.

Cool Camry 2010 LE - Radio Removal

Yeah it ended up being the same method.. however, I couldn't really make out what the heck was going on in those half-toned gray scale pictures of the other thread. I thought the much better quality pics would help anyways.

I checked with the local custom audio shop and the antenna wires with the pins are for am/fm only. Those antennas are actually built-in to the top section of the rear windshield defroster!

The sat antenna does not run to the front, it's connector is behind the rear driver side, side panel. And is square. I added those pictures to the 1st post gallery.

And so without any adapter I resorted to another posted thread where its called the "stealth install". And put the antenns i got from Sirius underneath the rear interior plastic deck. There actually is a lot of room there as it's rasied up quite a bit. The signal strength is hovering between 2-3 bars.

Question Gen 6 or Gen 7

This probably should be a new thread, but I started this one! I just found a Wikipedia article
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_...2.80.932006.29

and my car (2010 le) looks looks like the 7th gen.. why is there no 7th gen thread here? 7th isn't just for the hybrid is it? you may have noticed i'm new to toyota's.. but loving it!
