Unhappy OEM NAV Problem...

First off, I just want to say this site has helped me with so much information regarding my Camry. I don't really post that much, but I just wanted to say thanks.

Well now I have my own problem, and I'm sorry if this has already been discussed before.

I recently bought an OEM NAV System and decided to install it myself after reading all the information here. Everything was going good and I managed to get the old head unit out in about 45 mins. I proceeded to put the NAV in, and power it up. Everything was looking good until I pressed the eject button, and this is what happened:

Needless to say that I wasn't to happy. I tried to to see if the track the screen runs on was stuck somewhere, but not much as I didn't want to break it. I am not really sure where to go from here with the NAV unit. Do I try and fix it? is it even possible to fix? or do I try and return it for another one?

As a side note. I took the NAV system out and put my stock radio unit in, and now my steering wheel controls now longer work, except for the A/C. If anybody has any tips on that I would love to try them.

I do hope there is a way to salvage this as NAV systems are not cheap, but if it can't be fixed, then it is what it is.

Thanks.

when opening it pull out on the bottom of the screen. You may have to apply some force, but dont yank it. continue to pull out only when OPENING the screen and it will eventually catch the track and slide out and close perfectly. same happend with mine.

Thanks for your response, I will try that when I get back home.

Any ideas on why the steering wheel controls won't work (besides A/C) when I put the stock radio back in my car? I want to say that my car has to be resynced with it in some way?

Thanks
