Here's what I would like to do...

So I have been working some overtime at work recently so I am going to have a little bit of extra cash and I would like to maybe put some money into my car.

What I REALLY want is to add a genuine Toyota rear spoiler and genuine Toyota Camry side skirts (ground effects).

I found a spoiler here: http://www.toyotapartsstore.com/prod...oducts_id=3078.

It says something about an installation template and was wondering if anybody here had installed a genuine spoiler on a gen 5 Camry.

And for the side skirts, I haven't been able to find a place where I could get them (just aftermarket body kits...I would like to stay with Toyota)

Here is an example of the side skirts: http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_...0001_large.jpg

Thanks in advance for the replies.

A template is required because you need to drill holes to install the spoiler.

I have, and like Netforcer said, you will need that template to drill the holes in your trunk to install the spoiler.

If I remember correctly, one of those holes is 1" in diameter... when I did my installation I used a hole saw. I would recommend using a step drill bit instead. You get a cleaner and more accurate hole with a step drill bit. I would also recommend using a center punch to mark where the holes should be... otherwise the drill bits will very likely slip.

Triple check the placement of the template... if you drill the holes wrong the spoiler will not look right when installed.

I changed my mind...fuck the spoiler. I might just get a lip spoiler.

As for the spoiler, you can get one on Ebay brand new, "OEM styled" (which is in theory the exact same thing). for less than half of the price that website would charge you.

I have the OEM styled spoiler that I ordered from ebay that came painted and with all the accessory parts for $130.

Now for the kit, the only practical way you can get it is if you find a camry with that kit, copy down its vin number, and bring it to Toyota, where they can order you a "Replacement Set". And that would be quite expensive.

I chose to go with the JP Vizage kit. Check it out, and good luck with your camry
