Satellite radio question (i already searched)

Before everyone jumps on me like I see happen to a lot with new people that dont search, i have been looking for the last 2 hours and cant seem to find an answer to this XM related question. I tend to lurk more than post.

i have an 07 Camry LE with JBL stereo that has the SAT button.

I know I need the Camry fit kit P/N PT546-33070, if i am not mistaken, and the tuner. I have found 2 part numbers for the XM tuner and I don't know which one is right.

I found 86180-0W030 & 86180-0W031

I am going to guess that the second superseded the first, but I want to know 100% before I shell out the money.

Also, I cannot find a description beyond "XM Tuner" for either one. Does the antenna come with it?

Thank you in advance

John

Gen6

86180-0W031 is the new part number.

You have the correct number for the fit kit.

Both pieces are availble online from Toyota for $254.95 + shipping.

http://www.toyotapartsstore.com/defa...sort=3a&page=2

You can buy the fit kit on EBAY for about 2/3 Toyotas price and there s/b a receiver listed also....

The fit kit has the cable, bracket and antenna included along with 3 bags of hardware.

Has anyone done this install that can let me know what it entails? Same application as KF4ZRA...except it's a 2007 SE V6...but same JBL Head Unit. I'm curious where/how the tuner installs, and where I should run the antenna cable. Does everyone put the Antenna on the back of the roof?

I sold my 07 LE and bought an 09 XLE V6 i installed the tuner from the 07 in the same place in the 09. I found that there is no part number for the cable from the radio to the tuner for the 09's. I modified a Sienna cable to work. Since i have done this install on 2 cars I will share this secret. Instead of removing the entire glove box assy, run the cable under the center console trim. Then bring it under the passenger seat over to the B pillar base. Put it under the trim there and run it under the floor panel trim back to the back deck. You will find a spot to run it through the back seat backing to the tuner. the LE is easier to do than the XLE since the XLE has the reclining seats, it was a royal pain to get the seat out. once the seat was out, i lifted the back deck and put the antenna under it right up against the window. You will want to get a friend with small arms to push it up there. I dont have any issues with reception, and you cant tell the car has XM from the outside.
