Headlight/foglight Upgrade Question For My 09 Se V6

Ive seen a thread on this topic but my question is still not answered. If I replace my headlights and foglights, which are the same bulbs, to a higher wattage bulb, is there some type of plug in wire harness I need to put in for the increase of current that will be pulled by these bulbs?? If I dont put in a heavier wire, will the stock wires heat up and melt????
Thanks for any info..........

theres a good chance of it melting. You can get harnesses from PIAA or other no named brand that does the same thing.

MTEC has worked well for people.
PIAA is known to burn out, but I used them just fine for months.
You can never go wrong w/ sylvanias (Xtravision)
Our cars come stock w/ sylvanias actually, but get the Xtravision one, the brightest one

I'll probably go with the sylvania xtravisions. I looked them up on ebay and they are only 15 bucks compared to 50-70 for PIAA and some others. Thanks for your help Paul!

^ Watch for fake bulbs, check sellers feedback, see what others say about the same exact bulbs..it's always better to check.

sylvanias xtravision is not extra wattage, but better visibility and quality than OEM. noticeably better.
