Which fuse for remote turn on wire?

I need to run a remote turn on wire for a powered sub woofer, but wasn't quite sure which fuse I can tap into. Can I use the Radio No. 2 (7.5A) to hook up the remote turn on wire? Will a piggy back fuse fit in the box with the cover put back on? Do I need to get an extra fuse for the remote turn on wire and does it has to be the same amperage as the other fuse?

Will my powered sub woofer remained on whenever the engine is started even without the radio turn on? Is there a way I can do it so that the sub woofer only power on only when I turn on the radio?

If you want to save yourself some wire:

If you have the JBL system there is a switched power wire at the amp (under the passenger seat). Diagram here:

http://crutchfield.custhelp.com/cgi-...i=&p_topview=1

(#12, gray wire)

You can also tap into the 12v power plug in the center console near the armrest. The wire for that one is red. You do *not* need to remove the console to get to this wire, the carpeting is in two sections, velcro'd together, so you can simply peel it apart to expose the wire.

In both cases you need to remove the passenger seat but you'd be doing that anyway to run the wire from the engine bay (and make your life easier). This is the only thing that needs to be removed in either case to get to these wires.

I don't have the JBL system and don't intend on getting an after market head unit. I want to keep the factory stereo and look.

Djkor: Could you please expand on the switch as I would like to avoid having my powered sub woofer always be on if possible especially during stretch of time when I don't use the radio.

Bigtuna: I don't have a JBL system and I had already ran the power cable from the engine. Thanks for tip about tip about 12v power plug in the center console.

CamrySExxx: Could you please check for me which one you use? If it's the Radio 2 fuse does that also mean whenever the ignition is set to ACC or ON the amp will also be on? Or only when the radio is actually turn on.

Thanks.
