Power lock not working on 2004 Camry

My driver's side front door lock stopped working today. I can manually lock/unlock it, but neither the remote or power lock switch inside the car unlock the driver's front door. All other doors unlock fine.

Does this sound like an issue with a solenoid switch? If so, does anyone know how to replace?

Thanks!

If it's like my Mom's Corolla, it's probably gonna cost $300.

Sounds like the door lock assembly. It's about $240 from the dealer + labor if you don't do it yourself. I just did my front driver's side, (left) and got it from an online wholesale dealer for about $190. You won't find it anywhere else. I even called all my local junk/salvage yards and didn't find any for sale. One place did have the door, but wouldn't part it out because the door was worth too much in one piece. They're not hard to replace, but you'll have to take apart the door. A few weeks after replacing my front left lock assy. the rear left assy. crapped out. I haven't fixed that one yet.

I'd bet on the solenoid but it might be the switch itself, so you need to pull the door apart and check them.

Thanks

Thanks for the responses. It ended up being the power lock actuator. I was able to get it fixed at a local shop that specializes in Toyotas for far less than the dealership wanted to charge.

Can somebody tell me the difference between the Door solenoid and the actuator? The large black piece with the door latch embedded in it and has the steel cables for inside ACTUAL door lock and door handle is the actuator right? Is the solenoid inside that? Even with this removed I cannot turn my key from the door exterior counterclockwise. WTF is wrong with my car?

I need to replace the door lock actuator on rt front door of a 2001 Camry, V6. I took off the door panel. But I have questions about the actuator removal:

1.The actuator appears to be a long black part assembly with 4 wires connected at bottom, with a black shroud attached to the top end.
To remove the actuator do I need to detach inside latch and lock rods, outside latch and lock rods, then remove door latch (3 screws) assembly from end of door?

2. So, am I right in thinking the door latch and the door lock actuator(solenoid) are connected and need to be removed as one assembly ?

Thank you
