5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Came home to visit the fam from college and was bored, so I decided to this...took a while, but most of the time was used masking the very first wheel LOL...
Half the time that it took doing this project went into this masterpiece..Time taken, 1 hour
As you can see, the paint literally only hit a 2-3 inch radius from the brakes themselves LOL
And then I got good...Time taken, 10 minutes
Really good...Time taken, 5 minutes
The finished product...
Really good stuff, highly recommended..
Tomorrow I'll wash the car and put back on the 20's, then take pics of the final result! Overall, this is a really easy DIY that makes a big difference IMO
I once considered painting my callipers black to give it a cleaner look. Wasn't sure though if it slightly reduced the cooling efficiency of them though.
if you go black, it is completely unnoticeable...go red, especially with your color car
The idea is there, but you painted over your pads, retaining clips, caliper pins, the rubber boots and the bleeder screws. Your next brake job will be tons of fun. It would've looked much better if you took the time to do it right.

Yeah I had to make the choice but I didn't mind those parts being painted...would of had to remove the brakes from the rotor...this is just a minor mod til I get TRD brakes
Nice job, I don't want to hijack your thread, but you can also use G2 caliper paint. Its not a spray, its painted on, took me a bit longer than spraying but the results I think are amazing.
sry about the bad iphone pics
