Gen5 Little Confused, Audio Question. Pictures included!

i've searched around and found alot of good info. I took my car to a sound shop to get the factory radio replaced and get an estimate on replacing speakers. needless to say after feeling like the guy didnt want my money, i've decided to do it myself.

this is the radio i have and want to install for now:

this is the harness i have that came with the radio:

side a goes in the radio but how to i connect the other side to the vehicles wiring? I have the JBL w\o navigation radio in the car now.

I went to order the wire harness from crutchfield.com and this is what is offered but it didnt look like it fit on my car for my set up, maybe im wrong, not really sure.

any help?

What is the harness that came with the radio made for ?? looks to be something that is ready to plug into some car.....anyhow, you get the toyota hrnesses like from crutchfield or whatever and chop off the left harness from your harness (one where you marked A)....connect the new toyota harness wire to wire...

DO NOT CHOP OFF THE PLUG MARKED A!!!it is the plug that plugs into the back of the deck and you will need to get a new on if you do. you need to find an adapter plug that will plug into the other end of the harness that came with the deck and then the colors will match up with the ones for the deck... this harness you have now is odd because when i did this on my last car it was not a double ended plug

if i where you i just keep the stock jbl in because that panasonic cd player is not even worth installing and plust that deck is old......but if u do decide to install it anyways just cut off the clear plastic plug not the one marked A but the other end, and then just re-wire it to the toyota harness you ordered and that just plugs into the stock harness in the car.

yeah I have a panasonic deck in my camry and accord... If I could ... I would pick another brand. Panasonic make's decent decks, but they are VERY WEAK.
Just to let you know. I could've helped you if it wasn't for the JBL since I have a very similar deck in the camry, but hte jbl makes things much more complicated.

just bypass it all; get an amp for your speakers and run all new wire.. there is such a big difference

dont let the magic smoke out

if you are not comfortable with this set up, send the wiring harness back to crutchfeild and get the amp integration harness or use the harness you have and bypass the amp if ur putting in new speakers only..do not hook ur headunit to factory jbl..runs 2 ohms per chanell and you will smoke ur headunit.....look here http://www.metraonline.com/fit.aspx ps im mecp advanced certified and used to work for metra , and the amp integration is the way to go ..70-8113 is the part number
