2002 Le I4 Jp Locks me inside :\

Hi guys, I have quite a unique problem. My 2002 camry le Japan vers recently decided that it wasn't gonna let me out while with the ignition turned to on. Before, the driver door would lock whenever you shift it into gear or turn the ignition to on but can be unlocked by turn the triangle or pulling on the inside door handle. My uncle first noticed that it began to resist unlocking by the handle and by the triangle about a week back but can still be unlocked by the switch. This Saturday, the driver door worsened to a point where it does not unlock no matter what gentle ways i try. It only unlocked when i used excessive force on the triangle and after has reverted to its state before Saturday.

Since this car has a viper alarm system that also locks the car when in the on position, I'm stumped whether this could be a problem with that, the doorlock itself, or something else what controls the doorlock. Thankyou for any help.

Oh yes, I tried to cancel the auto locking deal by setting it in mode 2 according to the manual - it still locks when turned to on or shifted out of park...
