Dont they put washers inbetween the shields or something? Isnt this known as Color Mod Stage (CMS). This gives that purple, blue, rainbowish line on the cut off.

yea theres different things you can do. you can paint the shield flat black to achieve a bit more blue. you can add spacers etc.. spacers though make the cutoff a bit less sharp. painting shield i remember made the cutoff a bit more sharp while still adding a bit of color. mix of both is best afaik for tsx. i really never looked over all the different mods on tsx since i didn't get them.

now that i will have my rx afs out i think im gonna throw in some e30 lenses since i'm worried my left lense might have been scratched plus i wanted e30 from the beginning. also thinking about flat blue paint for my custom shield so they projectors look blue when off. or maybe white. need to find out if the paint won't get into my prism tail and ruin the effect.

the output does not change when painting the shield. only the color when the hids are off changes. only thing in output that would change is maybe a sharper and more colorful cutoff. still say get some other projectors though. you can do same with others.
check these out:
low beams: http://hidplanet.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=46508
bi-xenons: http://hidplanet.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=46359

btw replica fx= fx-r(my fav bi-xenons)

it's up to you. if you want ultra wide output and just a lowbeam then the rx afs. also get a clear lense like the e30 or tsx-r and get jvx or greenkiouku to make u a custom shield. if you want a real nice beam spread thats pretty wide and has a high beam then get the fx-r from theretrofitsource.com the fx-r will be modded already for you. just mount and thats it. rxafs will be 75+50(e30 lense)+25(about) for custom shield. straight fx35/fx45(not fx-r) will still need a fx-r lense.

if it was me i would ditch the tsx.

fx35/45 is stock fx projector taken from the fx35/45 car. fx-r is a replica fx that involved a company like thretrofitsource reverse engineering the fx orginal projectors and making replicas that are even better than the originals in certain aspects.

you can also leave the rx alone but the cutoff will be blurry since it wont have a clear lense and it won't be as wide as my modded rx because the custom shield i have unhides hidden light and also makes the cutoff sharper/more colorful.
