Angel Eyes CCFL DIY?

So I'm looking around on ebay and I see some Angel Eye Halos for like $168,
but then I realize that theyre just the headlights with .... like CCFLs in them

and I think for $168 you are also paying for the stock bulbs that come with the whole assembly. So in my mind I'm thinking, I could get the same
results...for about 100$+ less than the price given on ebay. I think one member on this forum has done Angel Eyes but I don't know who but moreover, if anyone knows what the diameter of our headlights is for the low beam + turning signal and has some knowledge how how I would install it..could you please let me know?

I'm sure this would be a great DIY sticky too.

google the jvx driver. he has a awesome article on how to make your own owl eyes version of the angel eyes. they are 100 times better and i would do them myself if i was into angel eyes. it's like 20 bucks to make them. you can also check hidplanet. he is the one who does the comparisons of projectors. he has example of his angel eyes in his sig.

Hmm..

I see that i need 85mm for the low beam & 90mm for the turn signals.

But like 90% of the CCFLs are white..I can't find blue so hmmm...

this is link i was talking about:
http://www.geocities.com/crx_auto/eagle_eyes.htm

you can have any color led in there and it's a few bucks mod that looks better than any ccfl. theres also a way to make them brighter on the bottom of the page if they seem too dim.

The only way i would do the audi ones would be if i could run them the length of the bottom of the headlight, corner to corner.

I have 80 and 100 if you are interested. They're a full circle design. I bought them while I was in Hong Kong this summer
