Gen6 GROM-USB2-TOY any others like this ?

OK, I've tried two different brands of iPod adapters and they both have problems. The USASpec is rebooting the iPod too much and the Dice unit burned out after about 9 months. So I'm thinking of going with a unit that can play the MP3s directly from USB storage. I found one the GROM GROM-USB2-TOY.

Has anyone seen any other devices like this that will work with a Toyota CD changer plug ? I want the controls and text display to work on the radio and I need 32 gig of storage. I can get a 32 gig flash drive for the GROM-USB2-TOY.

Here is a link to the unit I'm talking about.

I really need to be able to use the next track button on the steering wheel and I also would like to have the song or artist display on the stereo. I can do that with the iPod adapters but I've just had too many problems with them. Even when they were new it was hit and miss getting the things to work. I'd like to have something where the device can control a folder full of MP3 directly without having to send commands to an iPod and (hope) it responds. It looks like the GROM is the only one on the market I just wondered if anyone had seen others.

What did you finally install?

Hey ohhey,

Did you finally decide to install the GROM-USB2-TOY?

For the past couple of weeks, I've been looking at these:

XCarlink USB/SD Card for Toyota
Dice Media Bridge MB-1500-TOY (sometimes seen as MBR-1500-TOY)
Vais Technology SoundLinQ2 SL2Vu

I'm not 100% sure of the differences and advantages/drawbacks of each one. Despite mixed reviews, I finally decided to give Media Bridge a try because it's on sale from WalMart. I expect to receive it next week, then I'll install it and see how it goes.
