Hello,

I just found out that the inside of my right headlight is covered with dew. Im thinking water got in there and is evaporating. Correct me if I am wrong, but this would require a new headlight? Also, is this something that would be covered under the 36K warranty? I am going to bring it in the dealer but would like to know some info regarding this beforehand.

The assembly is not air tight and you don't want it to be. Moisture gets in and goes away. If you feel you have excess moisture in one of them, then there might be a cause such as a a large crack in the housing, or the seal on the bulb might not be fitting properly. In any event it generally isn't a concern if the moisture can be given time to evaporate.

This is what the light looks like. Do you think this is cause for concern? My warranty is about to run out quickly. I put a lot of a miles on my car.

Mine is completely dry on the inside, nothing like that.

Hey, take that as an excuse to do a retrofit!

oh well, if u dont have HID or didnt anything to the headlight, u should bring it back to the dealership

Hypothetically,

cant you just unscrew one of the bulbs, meaning just twist and it comes out, and then u take like a hairdryer and maybe pull out another bulb (and its housing/stand) creating sort of like an air-in and air-out vents and maybe the moisture will get dried up that way?

but then again might leave water marks..

so Idk, cause i just did black housing, well i sprayed them , now im at school, (i dorm) and so i have to go back this weekend and finish the job, i have the 2 halves of the headlights sitting between towels so no moisture gets in em, but just in case, i wanna know what to do too, if i dont reseal it right

The best thing to do is take it to the dealer, if you are under warranty.

If you are out, like Cking said, you can take a blowdryer and dry it out... but make sure all the bulbs are out of the headlights... if the problem continues, buy some silicone rubber and seal around the edge

yea like everyone said just take it back. my 1 headlight did that after retro because it didn't seal up properly because i used a different plexiglass. added some clear silicone and problem solved. if you let it dry it might leave spots on inside. it did on mine. if you don't wanna do dealer then take the headlight apart, dry it, clean with alcohol pads, and reseal. might want to also black house while doing it or retro.

I took pictures of mine a couple days ago when I noticed vapor in both my headlights-- around the high beam area (nowhere as bad as yours).

Mine evaporated by the next morning though.

IMO, if it doesn't disappear, take it back under warranty.
