Afflicted's 2010 SE V6 build thread

I've seen threads like this on other forums but seems to be a lot on here and I always forget to start one. Think it is a great idea to keep track of your progress.

I'm not going to do anything extreme just my usual simple clean performance in mind style, like intake, exhuast, springs, rims, subs, suspension mods, etc... Everything will be done in a tight budget one piece at a time.

She is a 2010 SE V6 in blue ribbon color with black leather and all factory options except for smart key. Really like the navi with back up camera.

Here she is day one before leaving the dealership.

here she is day 3 with 15% tint all around and 10" windshield strip.

Just ordered these rims for her their offset is 38 so I'll see after installing them if we will need spacer or not. Comments welcomed of the rim choose for her and if anybody is board and likes to play with Photoshop feel free I'm dying to see what they will look like on.

We started to go with black and blue rims but was affraid that the blue color would be to off to look right.

Welcome congrats on the new car

Rims look nice...and you won't need spacers. If you plan on lowering, you may need to roll the rear fenders for tire clearance though..which is no big deal.

to be honest i don't really like the rims you choose BUT you might change my mind when they are on the car. i originally didn't like mine until i had them against the car. once i did i fell in love with them.

Amazing how you can seize up that he will need to roll the fenders with just knowing the offset (*+38) without the wheel spec and tire spec and how low he will go...

WELCOME TO TN and can't wait to see your build.

Yes I will be lowering it like to go with s techs but it depends on how our drive way turns out when we redo it in a few months. As you can tell we're in need of a new drive way and when we do I'm taking some of the angle out so it's a straight line from the garage door to the road. I have a fender rolling kit but will not be doing this to a brand new car.

The rims are 17x7 I was wanting to go with wider rims so I can use wider tires but I still should be able to fit 235/?? Down the road. No offence to you big rim rollers they look great but I've always like a 17" on cars maybe a 18" but after that it starts effecting performance and I'm more geared towards performance then looks. Plus we are on a tight budget and couldn't bring myself to buy new tires when the ones I have are all season tires with less than a 1000 miles on them. maybe if they were summer or winter tires.

No need at all to roll the fenders. And i think 235 would be too wide making the tire stick out too much making the rims look even smaller. Get some extended lugs for the rims. Just my opinion.

235 would be too wide for 17x7 like redline said. 225 should be much better. i would have gotten even the trd 18s for that car. they would of looked nice with the blue color. but you can always rock these for a bit and when you get bored you can get some nice 18s.

WTF how can this happen

WTF I knew I shouldn't have opened my mouth (see my build thread). I also knew better to order from this dealer. This is the 2nd time they have screwed me. First time was when I had the silver tc and ordered some xxr rims that they took my money when they didn't have the rims to sell me 3 months of waiting for them to come in from china I canceled my order losing 3 months of intrest on my card. Now this are you kidding me

I recieved 3 Enkei wheel boxes with the correct rim besides them being +42 offset when they're supposed to be +38. Then one generic box with this dealers company name on it. Thought this was odd especially since this box was larger than the Enkei box it was strapped to. Why is this it's because they're 18x8 rims. Well sh!t at least they could get the brand right.

Let's see how they handle this before I smear they're name on all the forums that I have ever been on.

What is your opinions on how to make this right. what do you think they should do for me to make this right?
