Door sill

Hi everyone, I was thinking of getting an illuminated door sill
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Door-...Q5fAccessories
but it seems that if i remove the part from my 2006 camry, some wires will under the oem sill will shown as the original sill covers that. anyone know if there's a part that could cover the wires if i get the illuminated sill?

i believe those stick onto the existing door sills.. to hide the wires, drill a small hole into the existing door sill to thread the wire underneath

you dont have to drill a hole.

if you do that, what happens when you want to get rid of your door sills you just installed? then you will have a little dumb hole to look at....

the wires are long enough and small enough to just tuck under the illuminated sills as well as the stock sills and still create a tight seal with the 3M tape the new sills provide. and the install will look clean with no visible wiring.

those are the exact same door sills i already have. you wont be disappointed except for the shipping all the way from hong kong. it took about 3 weeks for me. if you have any questions, pm me.

So what I meant to say was, this is the door sill that came with my XLE

sorry for bad quality pic, it's dark in the garage
and this is how my door sill looks like when I remove it, see how there's the extra part on top which is the part that hides the wires

again sorry for the bad quality picture, it's from my phone
so if i get the door sill (http://www.ioffer.com/i/Door-Sill-Sc...2006-120013317) I don;t know how I would hide the wires that were under the original door sill. Also, Ebumdude, you have a camry 2007 right? mine is 2006, do you know how rigid the scuff plate is? Cause in the 2006 version, the door sill needs to be curved a bit, don't know if you coud do that with that product. Let me know I guess? Thanks everyone for replies!

if you have a gen6 even if built in 2006, the sills will still fit.

you can wire it via dome light by connecting it to the junction box in the dash near the change holder area.

i suggest you look at the service manuals and the DIYs on these forums. they will explain the junction box and how to tap the dome light. maybe u should just pay someone to do this.

don't remember the exaxt wire color for each door. also there is a little box that needs to be hidden also had to drill hole in oe door sill. Also had to re glue as tape did not hold when it got cold. looks cool as hell
