Dealer Installed Security Problems

I've searched the archives, and I can't seem to find anyone with my particular issue. I just got my 2010 Camry LE back from the 5,000 mile service, and I noticed that the blue indicator light from the dealership-installed security system under the steering wheel on the right is constantly flashing in a sequence of two flashes. Normally this only happens after I activate the system by locking the car, but now it's happening while the car's running as well. I didn't notice at first because it's not that bad during daytime driving, but it's a real distraction at night. Any thoughts or advice?

Since it is a 2010 and they installed it...I would suggest taking it to the dealer so they can take a look and fix any issues.

Thanks, all. I can't find the security manual right now, so I'll have to look again or call the dealership.

That sounds like an aftermarket alarm. I think Viper is the one that usually uses the blue LED. Anyways take it to the dealer they hacked my after market Viper install all up.

I had that happen to me before but only right after i bought the car. Take the car to the dealer that installed it and have them change out the unit(5 min) top to the job. When you got to the dealer ask them to call in the alarm installer.

A lot of dealers actually don't install Toyota's Fujitsu-ten-made alarms. With the Fujitsu-ten when installed before delivery you get the 3-year bumper-to-bumper warranty to cover it. If installed later it's 1-year 12K miles.

But any dealer installed item should still have 1-year/12K miles at least.
