Third LED brake light

Hi,

I was wondering how the back tray could be removed to get at the 3rd LED brake light. I would like to replace the 4 big LEDs with something that's more continuous.

Thanks

You need to take out the side sills, the rear seats and the rubber lining before you can get to the side panels and the rear deck.

If not, that's a bit of a bummer, cause we can get away with it here:

yeah, its like that for us too....just fold the seats down. ive done it about 237 times to chase down rattles before getting it right.

I have the 2007 SE V6 model that do not have foldable rear seats. Seems like too much work, but thanks for all the input!

it's the same for the SE, its not like the gen5's where u need to remove all the seats and bolsters.

Just get a good firm grip of the gasket things along the doors, pull them off to expose the c pillar. Pop the c pillars off on both side, then lift up on the rear deck, its just held in by clips. And that's about it.

Thanks again to all.

To pull the side panels off, is it a matter of "peeling" them off starting at the top?
