07 Camry replace trannsmission fluid and brakes myself?

I was wondering if my 07 camry transmission fluid lasts forever or not. If not, i know to drain and fill it every 30,000k miles, but can I do this myself or should I let the pros do it?

What about rear disc brakes and rotors? Front ones I know how to do, but not sure if the rear ones you do the same as the front. All i know is the rear brake pads are smaller than the fronts.

it your cars has WS ATF (if its WS there is no Dipstick) you dont have to worry till 100k miles. but if i were you i would definitely do earlier than that.

Brakes are easy on the Camry, and like the above posts states, you don't have to worry about the trans fluid for 100,000 miles.

More bad information..............the I4 auto has a dipstick.

All '07s autos use WS.

"Well for the simplicity of this thread, the OP has an SE which as I have learnt, has the V6."

Like any other Camry the SE can have either the I4 or the V6.

O forgot to mention. My car is a SE 4 cyl. My car has a dipstick

I kind of thought the rear brakes were easy, but someone told me its a little difficult cause of the foot brake thingy near the rotors or something. Was just wondering.

WS is a synthetic fluid. Should be good for about 100K miles in normal service and 50K miles in severe service. Get the fluid from the dealer if you insist on OEM.

There are plenty aftermarket fluid compatible with WS, but they stated that they don't meet the very low viscosity at the cold end. If you're not in the -32 deg C Toronto Winter, my guess is that it might not matter. Just make sure the bottle says so.

Those without dipsticks are slightly more involved but doable (fill at a temperature range). Depending on how mechanically inclined you are. But dipstick I4 is the Aisin U250 series. You should be fine.

All new Toyota's use the WS fluid. How to find out if you have WS is if its FWD then the dipstick handle will be black, if its anything else the handle will be orange. On trucks and SUVs there will be no dipstick and you need a special service tool to check the fluid. WS fluid is good for 100k.

As for the brakes, the rear is the same as the front. The e-brake is all inside the drum of the rotor if that makes sense. You will see what I'm talking about when you take the rotor off. No need to mess with the e-brake components.
