Camry 2010. Canadian TPMS

Hi all
I have a 2010 Camry Canadian version.
In the TPMS user manual they say that we don't have a TPMS light on the dashboard. It clearly says (U.S.A. only).
Does that mean that a general warrning will be on if I will swap to winter tires on new rims without TP sensors?
I don't like the idea of driving all winter with a general warning light on.

And as far as I understand from other posts here on the forum if I will buy new sensors for new wheels I will pay my dealership twice a year for re-programming computer to read new sensors. Is this correct?
My dealer told me it is going to be $65 for every re-programming.

Canadian Camry Owners, what do you do in winter? What options do we have?

If it says that you don't have the light on the dashboard, how will it be on?

edit: i have the light and sensors, and i ran rims without sensors and the light only went ON on long trips and then it would go out after a couple of city miles.

Well, it says that I have TPMS but it also says that I don't have the TP light.
So I assumed that it should use a general warning light. Or I don't know what's the point of TPMS if it does not report to the driver anyhow.

I don't see what other light it would come ON as.

Check your dash lights when you turn the car on. All your lights will light up for a moment. If you see the light that looks similar to this (!) light up, you will get that light on later when you remove the sensors from the vehicle. I have fixed that problem for customers in the past. Put all the sensors inside the spare wrapped in bubble wrap. It defeats the purpose of having the system because infact only your spare will be monitered for pressure, but the light will be off

OK. I have this (!) light. I just thought that this light is like a general warning light and it lights up if some other places have errors not just TPMS. Or is it just for TPMS?

I called my dealer and told them that I would like to buy 4 new tires with rims and 4 new sensors. They told me that the car will remember all the sensors (current 5 and 4 new). But the forum says it is not true.
Does somebody have the dealer's scenario working on their cars?

Maybe in Canada, but not here. I know the newer Lancruisers can remember two sets of sensors, but never heard that on any camrys

Have your dealer put it in writing and state if it is not true that they will reprogram your TPMS twice a year for the life of the car and them have them sign it.

Won't happen..............
