hi, i just got a 07 camry le and i wanna put some HIDs,
but ive been going around researching about it. I hear u need to replace to the projectors because it causes glare, and something about squirrel spotting?
if you do a search of this specific sub-forum(gen 5&6) you will find tons of info on what options you have for going HID.
just a tidbit of info that you will get after searching, you can install an HID kit in the stock projectors but will not look as good as a retrofit with proper HID projectors. if you just do an HID kit, you should cover your squirrel spotters, which are small tabs in the housing that shine a little bit of light to illuminate street signs.
welcome to TN and the search button is your best friend!
Kenny, just ignore him.. he is like that. I'm curious about the LED headlight, would be awesome to leave the headlight on for a week and still able to start the car.
led headlights won't be out to the masses like hids are for a while now. the optic technology and efficiency is always evolving with them. will take a while to get it where it should be. check out hidplanet as they have more info including output pictures and pictures of the parts.
for hids either cover the spoters and kit or get some mdx xenon projectors, bake your headlights apart, screw in the mdx projectors in place of the original ones and bake together. you can have someone do the retrofit for you. pm me or jsm1284

I think it will be much sooner than you think, I have led fog lights and they rock.
900 lumens is nothing close to what halogens or hids output trust me if it was possible to put leds in the low beams or even high beams i would of already done it. i have lots of spare parts...
haha not the best but pretty good i still need to do a quad retro and retro in some projector fogs. kenny if u want a retro i have something in mind for u... pm me.
