so i drive an '08 camry le and my trunk wont open when i lift the latch thing in my car but it will open if i use my key both pressing the button and through the keyhole

any help or suggestions would be much appreciated

hmm i used the search function and didn't really find any similar problems

although i probably should go dig out my owner's manual haha

If you're not in the Valet mode, then there is something wrong with the cable.

The trunk lock is turned "Full Clockwise", use your key and open the trunk, and pull the key back out when in the middle position.

I ran into the same problem myself and got the bonk on the head too from our friendly TN members for asking the same question... but I don't think I created a new thread so maybe that's y u didn't find it in the search.
