gas cap gasket

hi i have a 2002 toyota camry with 151300 miles. i got the check engine light and the code is p0442 which according t many threads points out to the gas cap or a leak in the EVAP system hose or something like that. i called the dealer but they dont me they dont sell the gasket for the gas cap and are charging me $20 for the whole cap.

a lot of people suggest just to buy the gasket. can someone tell me where i can buy the gas cap gasket online? if the gasket is not the problem, can someone point out what i need to check for this problem?

Your Service Manual will list the troubleshooting matrix for that CEL.

There is a TSB for that code. Stating to replace the filler neck and cap. I recommend that you first replace the cap and if the code comes back replace the neck. neck part #77201–33191. Cap #77300–33070. Hope that helps
