OEM Foglight Switch - quick question

If you're going to kill me for not searching, feel free. (Masochist here )

Anyway... just a quick question...

Does the OEM foglight switch allow you to turn the Fogs On/Off independent of the rest of the lighting system? IE: Possible to keep fogs on with just DRLs on, or DRLs + Parking, or just Low Beams (obviously), Low Beams + High Beams (also obviously)?

About the pull the trigger on ordering the parts and getting the dealer to install. It's going to be a painful $750 dollars ish, so I want to know the details.

^ Not unless you do the independent fog light mod.

If you need the thread, let me know and i'll be glad to find it for you.

You also have to do the disable DRL mod, i want to do this one myself but i have no wiring experience and i don't want to screw it up..so i can't help with explaining this..there is a thread on it as well though.

if i remember correctly there was no independent fog mod for the gen6. anyone who tried had to go to dealer bc the relay went or something like that. didn't matter v6 or i4.

OEM fogs come on only with low beams as required by some vehicle codes. I don't remember if this is federal or state requirement.

GRWAAG...

Makes me not want to throw so much on this OEM installation any more... I hate having low beams on.

I was gonna do that, but decided to buy an independent switch. Works much better.

Only way is to take low beam wires and put them in fogs and take fog wires and use them for low beam. The stalk would be reversed. so when you turn on headlights on stalk, fogs will turn on. if you want low beams, you'll have to turn the fog light switch on the stalk.

Also when you highbeam, fogs turn off (if you have them on with lowbeam). if you switch the wires, the low beam will now turn on/off with the highbeam.

Do you really want to spend 700+ just for 2 almost useless lights? They're only for show.
