USA 2010 Camry SE V6, what Intake?

Hello,

This is my first post and I'm no car junkie, so forgive my ignorance. This is also my first new car, so here goes nothing.

I was looking to add a new intake to up my HP by a bit. Would anyone be able to point me to a part number that would fit?

One issue is I'm only leasing this car, so I want to be able to put the stock intake back on, in 3 years.

Lastly, if anyone knows of any other performance mods that aren't too intrusive and are easy to reverse and don't cost more than 500, I'm all ears...

To be perfectly honest, your not goign to gain any noticeable power from an intake. You'll probably gain more HP by using 93 octane over the intake.

As for more power for $500, it's not going to happen. There is absolutely no aftermarket support for the 2GR engine that I know of.

IF you want the intake for sound, thats a different story. I'd personally build my own using the Spectre DIY intake pieces that PepBoys and AutoZone carries. It would also cost 1/2, or less, then buying an intake.

To add to Adam's post, he built an intake for me using the above mentioned parts( i can show you pics if need be). And yes you can put it back to stock after your lease is up.

As far as more performance/power, As Adam stated nothing really is out here. You could do a custom exhaust, with a high flow cat and delete the resonator, and get an aftermarket muffler to free a bit of power up(that would run you around 6-700 bucks).

K&N and Fujita makes intakes that is applicable.

You can go the DIY route, but I'm not so sure that they have spectre intakes for the 2GR motor yet, at least not the maf housing.

^ The 2GR MAF "should" be the standard Toyota MAF. I'll have to verify it to make sure.

I have an 07. I had to relearn not to floor it as the traffic signals turned green. It will get me from zero to 90 on a long freeway on ramp. It tops out with a governor at 145. Just how much more power do you really feel you need? Save your money and buy something worthwhile, or donate it to a good charity.

Since its a lease, I'd just keep it stock. Its a depreciating value as it is, and on top of that, you're going to give the car back anyways.
