5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I'm in the middle of making a Camry/ES/Solara informtaive website which will include DIY's, part interchangability, custom work, and links. NO forum though, as it's not needed since TN is perfect for it.
I need your DIY's, and permission to use them. I'll give you credit how you want (name, nickname, etc), along with a link to the original DIY on TN as well. I'm not goign to just take the DIY's unless you (one who wrote them) ok's thier use.
Thanks guys.

2007-2009 Camry 4-Cyl (2AZ-FE) Air Filter Replacement DIY
Here's a view of my I4 engine bay with the airbox on the top right side.
Here's the first screw that you have to unscrew.
Here's the second screw.
Here's the 2 clips that lock the cover onto the bottom part.
Here's a closer view of the clips.
After you unscrew the 2 screws, lift up the cover slowly, start from the right side (screws side), and work your way out on the clips, be careful not to break the clips / locks.
Or, you can just tilt the cover open slightly until you can see the air filter (you don't have to take the cover off completely), and take out the old air filter and put in the new one.
Make sure you follow the tab on the air filter itself, and match it with the airbox shape. You can't miss it, it can only go 1 way, otherwise you can't close the cover.
After you're done swapping the filters, just put everything back to the way it was (including the screws).
^ Actually, I think thats the same on the Gen 5 2AZ.
Thanks a lot guys! I hope to have a semi running site in 2 weeks, and then I;ll post it up and ask for opinions/suggestions, and what else should be added.
