Headlight Issue Unresolved??

With regards to the classic cloudy, foggy headlight housing issue:

I have searched around the forums and threads, but none of them seem to have suggested a very clear solution to this problem. Please advise, thanks. The problem here is 100% on the inside of the housing, and it is not dew, fog or moisture, since it stays there whether it is wet or dry outside. Some type of precipitation as a result of that? Is there an easy way of getting rid of that? Thanks.

easiest way is to get a new (used) set from ebay...

Cheapest would be to open it up and clean the inside

yea just open and clean it. and while you in there..paint the shroud and retro

220 degrees in oven and place it in for 10 minutes. clean and put both halves on best as you can and then in oven for say 5 minutes or so. again press both halves together and use also clamps. if any spot seems like it didn't seal then clap then reheat and clamp that area or use clear silicone in there.

its condensation, it happens and if you leave it too long it will stain the inside of you lighting. get a air compressor remove both bulbs and blow it out. make sure each bulb is secured in well. stop going to the super jet car wash and find a good hand wash place. if that does not solve it here we place the silica packs in the headlights to eat the moisture, jaguars and mercedes are famous for this method. i cant think of where you are going to be able to get a pack inside you are going to have to look at it. you can find nice size silica packs this time of year inserted with Christmas stuff like lights and trees as they are usually included in the packaging, the small ones that come in sneakers wont do you much good unless you use three or four each.

good luck

btw check the lens of your light sometimes a road rock hits the lens and causes a hairline crack that moisture enters. if you find one cover it with clear silicone.

1 suggestion right away. duplicolor engine enamel gloss black sucks. pretty hard to paint with. use krylon or the other paints in the duplicolor series.
