Warm Place in 2010 Camry

We just bought a 2010 Camry last week. One day after I had been driving for about 20 minutes, I noticed a warm/hot spot near the gear shift. The spot is located about an inch under the letters, and it gets very warm to the touch. My husband did a few Google searches and saw comments about the solenoid or the backlighting for the letters. Has anyone else experienced this problem, or have any explanations for what could be the cause?

My 2007 has this issue as well. I wouldn't exactly call it a problem though. It's very warm to the touch, but it has never caused any problems after nearly three years of use.

I remember someone posting a thread about this years ago- many people noticed it in their cars, but I don't think it actually caused any actual problems.
