Hey Everyone,
I have a 2009 XLE Camry that came standard with the JBL System. I am looking at Ebay for the JBL navigation system. Do anyone knows if it will work in the Camry I have and how to hook it, like a diagram? Thanks alot for your help!
Thanks for the site, but that means all my controls on the steering wheel and my bluetooth will work. Is it all the same plugs on the back of the Regular JBL will work on the JBL navi system? And also, do I really need to take apart the dash to install the GPS antenna...?
I see, so all of that has to come apart, no problem, but my question still is, will all the plugs from the regular JBL system work with the Navi Jbl system, with my already installed bluetooth and steering controls that came with the XLE camry!
Can someone answer me please that is knowledgeable in this area..
I have a stock JBL system in my XLE... I am planning to buy the JBL Navi system. Will all the connection from my standard JBL system work with the new JBL Navi System. When i compared the back of the two units, there are more plugs on the navi system(dont mean to sound dumb). so, will it work, enough plugs, and i already have bluetooth and all the steering whell controls, will that work as well...???? Someone please answer me...

I just replaced my JBL with the OEM NAV this morning.
Prepared by mapped out all the wires in both units connectors and was surprised to see that I had to change a number of wires. Wire colors were different in some instances as were a few extra wires.
You need the connectors/pigtails from the OEM NAV which I knew and that I got with the unit on EBAY.
I will detail the changes on this thread when I get home tonight.
Thought I could do the whole install in less than 1 hour but it took me 3 hours.....
Didn't take any pics. Want to keep the camera away from the soldering iron.
The one thing the removal instructions do not mention is that after removing the 3 screws in each side of the mounting bracket (to the heat/AC head unit) is that the audio head unit must be slid to the side about 1/4" to release the positioning tabs that go into the AC head unit. The tab secures were broken off my NAV unit by someone who didn't do that but the tabs are still there to properly position the two unit together.
Wiring changes:
Mic Port: The JBL F11 connector is not used. 5 of the wires go to the NAV F12 and 3 of the wires go to F9/F26 to pick up battery power, accessory power and ground for mic. The NAV mic must be powered directly rather than from these connectors from the factory. The JBL unit F11 connector had 2 more wires than the schematics show (both pink grounds) but the F12 had those pigtails and show on the NAV schematic. A manual error shows for connector F12 Red wire going to pin #9 but it was actually going to pin #20.
Speed Signal: There is no Speed signal for the JBL unit (amplifier only)so I had to fish the thin purple wire out of the wire bundle that goes to the amplifier and connect to F13. Caution: there are two thin purple wires and two thicker purple wires in that bundle but one of the thin purples turns out and goes to the unmarked 12 pin connector used by both head units. Did not connect the reverse signal wire on F13 that the factory uses. The NAV function w/o the speed wire is slow and jumpy.
Aux in: 4 wires are removed from F8 and go into new F14.
Mounted the NAV antenna (HD double Back tape) on the top of the center air outlets under the dash pad.
Having the original NAV connectors and wire pigtails for colors/wire size was a big, big time saver. Would highly recommend that route to save time and headaches.
There was one open rectangular receptacle left in the back of the NAV unit when finished....
Another Question...
I been had this problem since I bought the car, 09 Camry XLE with JBL sys, took it to three toyota dealers in the area I live, and everytime I play my Ipod through the AUX input, my speaker tend to crackle when a bass line hits, but when I play a CD or radio, its fine, the dealers said that all the speakers and everything else is fine... any advice...
