JBL vs other radios on 2010 Camry LE

The last time I was looking at Camrys, you needed the JBL stereo option to get bluetooth. Now there is a cheaper, single disc factory radio with integrated bluetooth or you can even get the base stock radio plus Blu Logic dealer add-on for bluetooth.

I will play music mostly though a USB thumb drive or iPod.

I think I would want the JBL anyway even though it might take a special order and several weeks delay and I rarely play CDs so I don't need a 6 disc player. The reason is since the JBL has 8 speakers with sub and probably sounds much better playing music than the others. Does it?

Is there a third party HD radio add-on kit that works with either the standard or JBL system?

To be more precise, the JBL sound system has 6 physical speakers and 0 subwoofers. The rear deck speakers are coaxial which means that there are two drivers per speaker, and each is fed through a different signal wire from the amplifier.

The front 6x9 and rear 6x9 speakers server to produce the bass while the little tweeters in the rear deck speakers (coaxial) and the front dash (I think 4") speakers produce the treble.

Still, I would recommend the JBL if you like better quality sound. I found the stock audio to be horrific sounding and muffled. I'm very happy with the JBL in my Camry.

I was looking a a Camry in the showroom with Navi. I believe it also had the JBL stereo. It had a SD card drive and a mini usb port. I can't find any description of those. I am also thinking JBL/Navi versus stock?

If you want to keep your speakers stock... go with JBL

If it has a usb on the front with an sd card reader it was not the factory system. The factory one also has a flip out face and most of the after market navi systems dont flip out if it looked like this one then chances are it was after market,.
