Toyota Lease Up Soon, Need Advice

Hello All,

My beloved 2007 Camry Lease is up in 4 months. I love her like a child. I am considering at the very least of trading her in for a 2010 (does anyone know when the 2011's are coming out?). It is an XLE V6. Has a lot changed over the years? Any benefits of trading her in now vs. holding out for the next major redesign? Ideally I think I want to upgrade to the Lex, or perhaps go to a BMW or Acura.

Thoughts?

Yes, you're all over the place.

2010 Camry, 2011 Camry, Gen 7 Camry, Lexus, BMW, Acura??????

Must be a few more choices to throw into the mix.

I'd say take a Saturday and go test drive all of them, and see which one you like the most.

Finance the Baloon. In the meantime, make payments till you have some decent equity in it.
In the meantime, you can be making up your mind about what you want to do.

Well you have the top of the line model, I'd say keep it if you don't have any problems with the car.

I don't think I'd put Acura and Lexus in the same camp as BMW, MB, or Audi. Acura and Lexus are more like the Buick GM couldn't build.

These European marques use very advanced technology and the performance is superior. If you get a new BMW you'll have free maintenance for 4yr/50K miles (including brake pads!). If you want a pre-owned, negotiate a free maintenance deal if you can. BMW is lightyears ahead of anything Toyota's Lexus or Honda's Acura can put out, but you'll pay for it too.

I'd wait for the dust to settle on the Toyota sudden acceleration problem before getting another one. I don't buy the floor mat is the problem thing:

I like what Honda does with the interior. I think it's the gold standard for mass-produced low cost cars. But their powertrain engineering hasn't quite kept up with the times. Well, the automatics IMO are better than the Aisin U-series.

I'd go for the upgrade to Bayerische Motoren Werke.

If OP thinks about lease-end buyout, he can negotiate the price too. Just don't wait until the end. Start talking to the dealer.

I don't know, pick a number, like 50% off. (do some research of course) and then haggle. Don't pay "full price" even on lease-end buyouts.

To me the big question is, will the car be worth what you have to pat for it.
Camry major model change is scheduled for 2012 model year to be released mid 2011.
I wouldn't expect much to change until then.

buy it out and wait for the next gen. bmws only nice one is the m3s. wouldn't take anything else. if u want lexus get is350 or isf or gs350. like others said go drive the others to be sure but i still think buyout is best. i wish i kept my 07 at times.

I would look into keeping your Camry and just see how low they are willing to haggle with you!!!
Right now your Camry is only mildly changed in the last 3 yrs.
If you really like Her keep her.....
