5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
And its a 2008 but has done already 97,000KM. He does say in comments that its "freeway miles" but again the guys nearly done 100,000KM in just a year!!
I could still get him to strip down the price if I haggle enough with him, so if I'm going to take a test drive my real question is and most important is for a Aurion(camry) thats done nearly 100,000KM for a 2008, what are some things I should look out for?
Oil leaks, engine, noises, inside or outside etc.
Hmm, fair enough. He could have but I don't know until I call up and ask.
But like I said, what are some things I should look out for a car like that that has nearly done 100,000KM? Oil leaks, engine, noises, inside or outside etc.
Look at the CV boots behind the front wheels for grease leaks. Yes, look for oil leaks, look at the wear pattern of the brake rotors for unusual wear, check the engine drive belt for wear, make sure that everything works, and try to find any body work that might have occurred. If the front end does not have any rock dings, then wonder why not. Note the registration plate number. Is it in the proper sequence for the period when the car was first sold? If it was a later replacement, wonder why.

Then he isn't much ahead of you then. The OP car in question shows 97k kms. You have 50k miles. 97k kms works out to around 59-60k miles.
Right, still alot .I average about 25-26k a yr.,way more than average driving statiscally. To the OP if the car is all highway driven, everything checks out ok & can get it for a good price thats within his range then I say go for it.
