USA Bypassing the Nanny Lockout on a Kenwood DNX-5140 DVD/Indash GPS

I purchased a Kenwood DNX-5140 last week received the Metra dash kit yesterday and am just counting the minutes until I receive my Scosche wire harness in the mail so that I can connect it. I already did the research on here and know that to bypass the nanny you just have to ground the parking brake wire but I'm super anal with my cabling! So my question is rather than just putting a lug connector on it and grounding it on a screw can I just splice it in to the harness with the black chassis ground wires so that it's all together nicely in the harness or would this cause some type of ground feedback? Also even though I'm not getting a backup camera yet can I connect the wire coming from the radio to the reverse (+) wire yet on don't bother yet?

If the nanny wire is connected to the parking brake switch (normal operation) and you ground it in the harness, the idiot light will be on in the IPC. Do not connect the nanny wire to the parking brake switch circuit, just locate the ground wire at the radios connector and tap it there. Don't do it too close to the connector, leave yourself some wiggle room for corrections or repairs.

i installed all my indash that way, i just splice the green parking brake wire onto the HU's black ground wire, just splice it in the middle of the wire so ur not to close to the connectors. I have never had a problem at all doing it that way. good luck
