I'm guessing that is is an I4? There are a number of things but the simple and cheap things to look at first would be all the vacuum hoses in there that might be leaking. I assume the check engine light is not on? The MAF could be gunked up and needing some cleaner. These are things you can do yourself for cheap. Start there.

how old is your battery? an old battery can also cause this. one of the signs is if it sounds sluggish when you start it.

im a mechanic heres the possibilities. 1. did you disconnect your battery recently? if so your car needs to relearn the idle process and the drive cycles. just drive it a lot preferably on the highway as well so your car can relearn the drive cycles. 2. check for vacuum leaks. 3. your throttle body might have too much carbon build up so you can clean that with intake cleaner. 4. your ICV idle control valve could be bad. usually the problem is the idle control valve.

If you run an oiled filter such as a K&N it could be that your MAF has some oil/gunk built up on it. This will look like a small gray cotton ball on the sensor. Try not to touch this sensor to clean it. They sell MAF cleaner at some auto parts stores. It literally takes two seconds to clean and your car will run like new.

it's an I4, I don't believe they have an IAC valve. To the OP, clean the throttle body and the MAF... simplest and quickest things to try.
