Moonroof Rattle

Yes.. I searched

07 TCH:

I have a moonroof rattle.. it comes from the back of the glass only when CLOSED.

If I push up on it, it goes away. It doesn't rattle at any other times, but, I do have what I think is excessive wind noise at highway speeds. Also, the glass appears to be below the roof line in the rear on the passenger side. The other 3 corners seem to be even with the roof.

The TSB's I've seen describe rattles at the front, or when open.. I don't think that they apply to me.

I've seen other people with my issue, but have not yet found a solution.

Any help would be awesome

Thanks!

Take it to a dealership and tell them your problem.

I pay a theripist already

It would be nice to hit a dealer with at least a bit of information in my hand.. I'd prefer to not hand my money over without at least a clue as to what it is they are going to do.

Besides.. if it's something simple, I'd consider doing it myself.

have you tried recalibrating your moon roof, it might just be the roof isnt settling in correctly

YOu need to search some more. I know I saw on here how to recalibrate your roof. Should re-seat it and remove the drop

EDIT: Okay sorry I did a wack of searching but could not find it. I know I read it on here. Maybe as the SuperMod said go to dealer. Or if someone could repost calibration.

I found directions that basically say to hold the slide up button for 11 seconds and it will run the range.. but, I hold mine per the instructions, and it only goes up, and stays up.

There appears to be slack in the components.. I need to take a picture of the parts, but, it's basically the swing arm that moves up when you hit the slide up button.
