"06 Camry auto door un-lock.

Hello all. I have a 2006 camry. I just replaced the water pump which also entailed me disconnecting the battery. Before the battery was un-hooked, all 4 doors would automatically un-lock every time you would change the gear selector from drive to park. And vice versa. Now, after having disconnecting the battery, none of the doors un-lock or lock. Is there a procedure that can change this back to the way it was?

check your owners manual next time, procedure is in there.

Turn the car to on, do not start. hold down lock button until door ajar indicator flashes (doors should be closed). The door ajar indicator will flash a number of times for each setting (1 for setting one, 2 for setting two, etc.) There are 4 settings: automatic lock with gear and no unlock, no automatic lock or unlock, no lock and automatic unlock with gear, and both automatic lock/unlock with gear.

i can't tell you which number of flashes correspond to what setting, so you'll just have to figure it out yourself. if it's not the setting you want, you will have to turn the key to off, then back on, and repeat the procedure each time.
