5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I'm trying to install a second muffler on my i4 but a box is blocking the piping for the driver side. Apparently it's a fuel absorber of some sort and dangerous to have near hot piping.
Can anyone check their V6 for me to see if it's there as well and how it's positioned? Pictures would be great, thanks.
Finally had some time to drop by the muffler shop and the guy told me that he wont do any piping that close to a fuel line.
Why did Toyota do this?? I've tried looking for alternate locations to mount this box but it's impossible to move. I was considering just covering it with a heatshield but it's still in the way of the piping so it would be useless.
Can anyone with a V6 please take a clean shot of the whole area where the box is located? Much appreciated.
