Unhappy Battery and idle speed problem

I have a 2002 toyota camry xle v6. Today, after disconnecting the battery and cleaning it with a brush it started giving me problems. I was on my way to work and then suddenly i noticed that the idle speed keeps on going down until the engine stops. I have to keep my foot on the gas to keep the engine from stopping. The car stalled a few times at intersection and have to restart the car. I thought it was the battery but, it isn't because i just purchase a new battery after this happened. There's no trouble codes. any idea what could be the problem. Please help asap

You'd benefit from doing a quick search, but that's normal. You need to let the car idle in gear for it to adjust. If your car is properly maintained I don't think it should have a problem "learning" its idle again. The last time I disconnected my battery it was dipping down to 500 RPM at idle and 400 RPM when I was coming to a stop, but it never died. Didn't take more than 5 minutes to go back to normal.

Talking battery and idle problem

I finally fixed my problem. First, disconnect the negative terminal to reset the computer. Disconnect any connection connected to the throttle body. Clean throttle body with throttle body cleaner the inside of intake manifold (just the part connected near to throttle body). After cleaning, reconnect connections and that should do it.
