Electrical problems!

Hi,

Anyone experience electrical problems with their GEN 6?

For some reason I have a ton of problems. When I open the driver side door, the door light and dome light don't turn on. But if I open any other door they all work fine. Also the door chime when the key is inserted stopped working. Very strange. I was thinking that it might possibly be the LED interior mods I did but I swapped them out recently for stock bulbs and the problem is still doesn't go away. I checked the fuse box, but all the fuses are fine. I'm contemplating that maybe the ECU might be messed up because when I looked at the electrical diagram, it seems as if the ECU controls lighting in the car too.

Too bad i'm outta warranty so i'm kinda bummed out lol. I looked for replacement ECU's which are not too expensive, but I am not sure if it as simple as swapping ECUs without reprogramming.

Start with looking at the switch in the door jam. Use your multimeter to see if the switch is working.
