Gen5 tail marker/brake light, dual intensity?

I posted in the general discussion place and didn't get any response so I decided to ask on the Gen5&6 forum. The only LED problem I found from the search option concerned only turn signals so hence me posting about this.

So I have a problem with my led for my tail light marker/brake light on my camry 2006. It is suppose to light up when I turn on my head light and turns on brigther when I brake, but recently I've notice it doesn't turn on when my headlight are on (use to do it) but when you look closer you can see a very feint light coming out (Is this dual intensity problem?). Was wondering if I have to add anything to it or change to a lesser amount of number of LED bulb as the one I bought has I think 39 LED on it (looks like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/3057-...Q5fAccessories), not quite sure, it has been over half a year. Let me know!

Thanks in advance, and Happy New year!!!!

The price you pay for cheap eBay LED bulbs. The more bulbs you have doesnt mean it will be bright. I have half the amount of bulbs in my LED turn signals and its probably brighter than that.

But for your problem, are you sure that the bulb is dual intensity? As LoudCamry said, put back your stock bulb and see if the problem is still there. More than likely, its the LED.

oh hey! I was just replying your post from the other thread LOL!
and yeah it's only recently that I noticed this, it use to light up back in the days, I know this because I usually walk to the back of the car and press twice on the lock button of the remote so that the light shut off and it use to be lit. And sometimes the left one would randomly be on and sometimes it won't, I guess I could try to change back to stock, what's annoying is that the LED is kind of fat so have to like wiggle around to allow it to come out oh well.
